Just Wondering

Was it just me, or did anyone else watching this past weekend’s Justice League Unlimited episode “Wake the Dead“ have a flashback to Avengers #503 when Dr. Fate blamed Chaos Magic for resurrecting Solomon Grundy? I half expected Dr. Strange to come bursting through the door of the tower screaming, “There is no such thing as chaos magic!”

As soon as Fate said “Chaos Magic”, I immediately began calculating how far back this episode was scripted, and if the joke was enough to get Fehr to tape a new line, the way that “The Simpsons” will to remain topical.
But the joke is really funny when you realize that it was Dr. Strange claiming “Chaos Magic”. The Fate Squad is a JLU analog for Marvel’s Defenders - Strange, Namor, Hulk - this time including the “cosmically powered” and chrome skinned Adaptaoid, as well as “Birdnose”.
And they bother to sue City of Heroes…

You have to re-watch the episode, knowing what you now know about Wanda.
