Monday’s Guilty Pleasure: Dungeons & Dragons Heroes video game
Filed under: General
This game for the X-Box is the perfect video game guilt pleasure. First of all, the graphics are superb. Watch the smoke undulate or the water ripple and be awed. The game play is addictive; the game plays like a cross between Diablo and the original Gauntlet. Up to four people can play at once and remember, the family that plays together, stays together. Best of all, it includes all the great classic AD&D monsters I’ve always loved: Yuan-Ti, Mind Flayers, a Beholder and a Bulette! When’s the last time you saw a bulette?
All this, and it was only $6 on e-Bay!

Hmmm…sounds fun. I’m a sucker for Gauntlet style games, but I refuse to buy an X-Box. Microsoft gets enough of my money as it is.
Are you on City of Heroes yet? I remember you mentioning it in the past.

Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance and BGDA2 featured Bulettes, and were superior games to boot. Still, I agree that D&DH was a fun game.

I enjoyed the first BGDA, but for some reason never got into #2. I think I just happened to pick up D&D Heroes when I was in the mood for a fun no-thinking hack-n-slashfest.
