  1. Hi Aidan!!! Aww, look. He’s ,what, minutes old and already waving to us. If you can see me, I’m waving back. Congratulations, Scott. Take good care of the guy.

  2. Aww, Scott, he’s so cute! And I mean it, too…usualy newborn babies are all scrunchy-faced and kinda off-putting, but Aidan is adorable! Congradulations!

  3. He’s got very open, alert eyes for such a wee one. Congrats.

  4. Congrats to the whole family!

  5. Uh oh. What is that tube stuck to his belly? Get well soon, Aidan!

  6. Congrats Doc and family!

  7. Holy Skamokaway! It’s a little, tiny human! One head, four limbs and twenty digits!

Health and long life, little guy.

  8. Congrabulations!!!

  9. Congrats doc! Welcome to the world of sleepless nights and lots of crying.

  10. Congratulations! And I am inpressed how Aidan seems ready to high five any visitors.

  11. They put the monitor in contact with the skin, instead of on top of his clothes. Is that allowed here at PD?

  12. Good job, man. What sort of bedtime-reading material do you have prepared, I wonder?

  13. […] Initially, I was going to link to Polite Dissent just for “New Comic Day BINGO,” but now Dr. Scott has announced he’s the proud father Aidan, born yesterday at 5:28 p.m. Congratulations, Polite Family! […]

  14. Yea for baby Aidan! Can’t wait for you guys to get home so we can spoil him, too!

Maybe, just maybe when Craig and I were shopping at the outlet malls in CT, we purchased a *couple* of things for him ;)

  15. I have to say, the art in this panel is terrible. The nasal cannula isn’t anywhere NEAR the nose, instead leading fruitlessly toward the abdomen. The blood pressure cuff on his arm has neither a bulb for squeezing nor a gauge to read … and it appears to be decorated with teddy bears. Plus, everyone knows that the denizens of Globulon Beta have seven fingers; did I miss a retcon?

  16. Congratulations! My sister had her baby about a month ago!

  17. Congratulations!

Now what experimental technology can he be exposed to ensure he grows up possessing superpowers?

  18. Oh, what a cutie! Congrats to the whole Polite Family.

  19. Mr Bishop, well played.

    Scott, congrats. He looks adorable.

  20. Congrats! That’s one cute kid.

  21. What, no medical review of the birth?

    Congratulations!

  22. Congratulations!

  23. Congratulations! And “Aidan” — such a fine Irish name! Well done.

  24. Congratulations Scott!

  25. Many congratulations from my family to yours. Enjoy the new addition to your family!
