Monday PSA: Our American Heritage

Our American Heritage! Click for the full page.“How well do you know your American Heritage?” asks this PSA quiz from Superman’s Girlfriend Lois Lane #105 (October 1970). There are some easy questions on the quiz, but a couple of hard ones as well — I only scored a 4/5, and I consider American History one of my better subjects.

  1. I got 2 - Paine and Tubman. But then again, I’m Canadian. What did you miss?

  2. I only got Tubman

  3. I only missed Zenger, I had to wikipedia that one.

  4. I missed Lazarus.

  5. I got them all, but had to think hard to get JPZ’s full name. Saddet though to admit I probably have that issue in a box packed away somewhere. Interesting also that as late as 1970 they were still publishing those Schiff/Bailey PSAs.

  6. Only 3/5 for me. Penn, Paine, and Tubman.

  7. I got 4/5. I couldn’t recall Zenger’s name.

  8. 3/5. My mind blanked on Tubman’s name and Penn’s existance.

  9. So #4 wasn’t Rupert Murdoch….lol
