Monday PSA: A Vital Message from Captain America!

With Veteran’s Day this past weekend (unless you’re the Federal Government, then it was Friday), I thought it would be a good time for another patriotic comic book PSA. This particular ad is probably the oldest I’ve featured yet on “Monday PSA.” It’s from Young Allies #12 (Spring 1944) and it aims to teach us how important paper is to the war effort.

Do they want you to recycle the comic? It doesn’t give instructions for comics…or do they fall under the ‘magazine’ category? Three catridge wrappings are probably wasted on that page alone!

That’s a good point. I think they probably fall under magazines, but they were printed on some super cheap newsprint back then.
