Comic Quiz

I stumbled across the following quotes recently while perusing Wikipedia. The first quote concerns a comic publisher, the second is baout one of their comics. Can you guess which company and comic these refer to?
Quote #1: [Their] characters are often called the most important of those created after the Marvel revolution in the 1960s (when Spider-Man, X-Men, Fantastic Four etc were created).
Quote #2: The series is a super-powered team book that re-energized not only the genre but readership in the comics industry when the collector mentality was dominant.

Ahahaha I remember reading that entry, I tried to change some stuff and the guy got all upset and we had a fight in the discussion page. A couple of fanboys in horrible denial update all of these exhaustive Valiant entries, with lots of “the most important” “amazing” etc. type of adjectives thrown in the articles.
I would visit the discussion when drunk and add to it. After a while I just got frustrated and gave up-terrible comics are not worth that much effort defending oir hating.
My roommate was very entertained, however, and poitned out that a couple of other people entered the discussion may have had their dissent deleted as well.
