Emerald City Anyone?

Anybody going to Emerald City ComiCon this year? Both the Polite-Wife and I have some vacation time coming and we thought we’d head out west for the convention. (The usual bribe will be offered to the Polite-Wife in return for her joining me at a convention: a nice dinner out while we’re in Seattle. Suggestions are welcome.)

I’ll be there with hubby-Eric. If you want to go splurge on dinner in Seattle, go to Canlis or the Space Needle.

I’ll definitely be there, running the second annual Fans Vs. Pros trivia contest, AKA “You Call This a Trivia Contest?” I’ll no doubt be lurking about the entire convention, checking in with friends I only see at comics shows, and showing pictures of Krypto my super-boxer to anyone willing to look!

The wife and I will be there, as well. In fact, we will have our own booth. We are going to be pumping the word of our blogs there, in the hopes of actually getting on some comp lists. We both love reviewing comics, but man it’ is getting so expensive. Make sure to stop buy our booth and say hello. I know the wife would like to meet you.

I’m getting back from Italy on the 30th, but I’m hoping to go at least one of the days to get a sketch or two for my “music” sketchbook.
As for restaurants, there’s a lot to choose from. It depends on what you’d like to eat. Seafood? Sushi? Nice traditional? Indian? Etc.

I’ll should be there, though probably only on Sunday. (I can’t believe it’s coming so soon!) If you want to go slightly further afield for food, Daniel’s Broiler in Bellevue (just across Lake Washington) is probably the best steakhouse I’ve ever been to.

My wife and I have a few favorites, but rather than bombard you with a list of what we like, I thought you might want to take a look here:

I suppose it’s as good a starting point as any. I hope you enjoy your trip to our fair city.

Oh, of course if you want to be bombarded with the places we like, let me know and I’d be happy to drop a few on you.

I’m going to have a table there. As for food it depends on what you like. Don’t listen to anyone when they recomend the Space Needle restraunt. All it has going for it is the view. I’m partial to the New Orleans in Pioneer Square. Good Cajun and live Jazz and barely five blocks away from the convention center. Or if you like chinese check out the Kau Kau. They specialize in Barbeque (try the duck) and everything else is good too.
