Well, here we go: one more blog. There’s a good mix here, involving comic books, medicine, and a heaping serving of politics as well. Special attention will be focused on the rare instances where these combine.

I’ve been a blog troller for quite a while, enjoying what I’ve read (even when I didn’t always agree — which was quite common). I’d been thinking about blogging for a while, but a couple things finally pushed me into action, but more about those later.

    Please ’splain about the medicine part.

    I do medical transcription. I don’t always know what doctors are talking about, but I know how to spell it. And to the extent that I can understand it, it’s fascinating.

    Medicine and comic books. That’s just wild.

    I’m a family physician in a dual physician practice in a small (well, moderate-sized) Illinois town.
    I feel sorry for the transcriptionsts, mine visit at least once a month to tell me to slow down, hold the recorder farther away, and stop flipping pages when I dictate.
